About LazyTune
What is LazyTune ?
LazyTune is a "content-aware" search engine, specialized in audio files search.
Using advanced digital signal processing algorithms, each file is analyzed by the engine in order to extract as much information as possible. Unlike the standard search engines, LazyTune takes into consideration not just file headers, which contains limited and sometimes incorrect information, but the music itself.
The resulting information is classified and sorted in an optimized fashion to allow LazyTune users to find what they search for with a great relevance.
LazyTune's servers constantly crawls the web to detect the presence audio files in order to analyze them.
The analysis primarily consists in working out a numerical fingerprint of the audio files that identifies uniquely each song.
The engine make the distinction between a file and a song, since a song can often be found in different files. In such a case, the engine delivers the file with the highest quality, resulting in a higher quality of service.
Also, the availability of every ressource is regularly verified, and in case of indisponibility, users are offered a copy of the song searched.
The analytical search engine of LazyTune is the result of one year of research and development. It is based on a scalable distributed architecture capable of processing optimally the gigantic stream of data.
The entire engine has been made to work on Linux platforms and by using Open Source tools. Indeed, we support, use and write open source applications.
That's why we encourage you developers to use the RESTful API of our engine. This will allow you to access analyzed audio files hosted by third-party servers and the highly accurate information concerning them.
If you have an important signal processing project or if you simply want to make a front-end of a powerful search engine, you can retrieve a developer key for free.
