Our search engine's RESTful API allows everyone to access and query our huge musical database.

This programming interface is a based on REST architecture over HTTP protocol, each user is identified by both website's ip address and API key, that means that every data query must be done from server-side except for file queries (in order to allow you to send audiofile's url to client-side, a flash frontend or a mediaplayer for instance).
You can use a large range of format for representing returned data : XML, JSON, YAML and Serialized PHP so that you can easily find something that suits your needs. All data provided is in UTF-8.

We provide free API keys for limited number of HTTP requests (20 000 a month/api key), and the metadata is licensed under a Creative Commons License, that means that you just have to credit us by adding one of these badges to your site ;)
If you plan to use LazyTune's API for commercial use you will be able to use our Proprietary Licence and to order Premium API Keys.
